We help 80% of people stop having nausea!
The idea for the NoMo Wristbands came about when the inventor and founder, Dr. Jacqueline Darna, an anesthesia provider, was giving birth to her second child.
"During my emergency cesarean section, I kept vomiting in the operating room and postoperative. I couldn't enjoy my beautiful baby girl because I felt so miserable from nausea. The only thing that helped me was a pair of peppermint leaves my anesthetist gave me to smell. I kept dropping them off and making my husband pick them up. It's not easy to breastfeed and hold peppermint leaves.
In practicing anesthesia, I know all the drugs that are given as antiemetics, and their terrible side effects, like Zofran. None of the traditional drugs were working for me, so I taped a small ball of gauze to each of my wrists at the P6 point and hoped for the best. I started feeling better, and anytime I got an uneasy feeling, I would smell the leaves."
When I returned home, I searched for a product like this. I found that no one had ever combined these two well-documented anti-nausea strategies: a properly applied band that provides relief and a soothing cool peppermint scent. I saw Sea Bands existed, but they were ugly, outdated, and not waterproof; 1980s sweatbands hurt my wrist. The newer psi bands looked like a watch, but they had a tightening mechanism, and how was I supposed to know how much pressure was good enough for me?"
